I love the way many mosaic artists can put together bits of broken china and other things to create a design. I’m ok with using beads and glass and gems but I have a problem adding broken dishes for some reason. I decided I want to create some mosaics incorporating broken china just to see if I can figure out how to use it in a way that pleases me. I may decide it’s not for me but I want to give it a try.
The only china I have is my mom’s cups that I’ve used in other mosaics. I wanted to have a central piece and then add the china as background. I found some tiles that I made for the center. I added the outline of beads to make the tiles stand out a little. Then I added the china and filled in with the small solid pieces. I think it’s an ok start.
