The moon guided me home tonight so I thought it would be appropriate to honor and thank it by creating a portrait of the full moon. I didn’t have any glass or ceramic pieces that would work to create the moon so I decided to paint the moon and then use a clear glass circle on top.
I thought I would be able to create this simple design very quickly but it ended up taking me much longer than expected. I had to let the paint dry for about a 1/2 hour then adding the sky was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Maybe because of the circle or maybe I’m just tired. I also added some mirror stars at the end. It’s hard to see them in the picture but they should stand out more once the piece it grouted. I hope the moon likes its portrait
It’s beautiful!
I love this! I captures the full moon for me…
