I went to the beach yesterday. It was wonderful to spend a day watching and listening to the ocean. It’s so powerful and yet so gentle. The sound of the crashing waves helped me to focus and stay centered. Watching the waves form, crash, and gently kiss the shore was relaxing and calming.
I spent some time thinking about how to create the ocean in mosaics. I saw mostly foam as the waves kept coming. The foam is made of clear glass that I crushed. The glue is still wet in the picture so we’ll have to see if it has an ocean feel once I grout it.
I concentrated on the water and left out the sand and sky in this mosaic. I’ll have to do another mosaic that shows the big picture another day.
