I was tempted to do this one over. It didn’t turn out the way I had planned. I was inspired by the early morning sky. It’s very light near the horizon and it gets darker as you look up. I think either I need more shades of blue or I need to use smaller pieces so the gradation can be more subtle. I’ll try it again another day.

It reminds me of the sea’s edge in Hawaii at the edge if the lava flow. The dark lava shines like that when it hardens. Then the clear blue water darkens as the ocean depends. I see it represents new life.
I love that you got such a clear memory from this little mosaic. I only think about my experience when I create. I’m always amazed to hear other people’s experiences. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
