Over the weekend I went to see mosaic sculptures by Julee Latimer. They were really beautiful. She makes a three-dimensional shape then she adds the mosaic. She uses many different materials and the end result is very textural.
I just had to try a very simple version. I glued some broken pottery to my 4 inch base and then used smalti, glass gems, glass tiles and beads. I think it’s a good first try. I’m excited to experiment some more.
