Today I grouted my first 6 mosaics. One week of my project completed, 51 weeks to go. I think that for the next 51 weeks I’ll be learning new things about making mosaics and about myself. This project has made my life more complicated because now I have to fit in a mosaic and blog post, every day, no matter what’s going on. It sounds big, but I love to make mosaics so much that I’m willing to figure out how to make it work for me.
I decided that I would only use one color of grout each week. It definitely made the grouting process easier but I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep to it. I like picking the grout color for each mosaic. Maybe as I get more efficient I’ll be able to grout in a reasonable amount of time with more than one color. I do love the way that grout pulls the mosaic together. I’m a little surprised about the designs of my first week but I like them. I can’t wait to see next week’s creations!
