Tonight was mosaics class and I grouted a piece I’ve been working on for a very long time. I didn’t think it would ever be done but I finally finished it! It feels so good to see a project through to the end. I’m going to post my non On the Seventh Day I Grouted mosaics but I need to wait until the weekend when I have more time. Please check back on Sunday for that.
Meanwhile back to today’s project. This one was made using some tiles I created in the very beginning of my mosaics experience. I was experimenting with the different glazes and the textures I could create on the clay. The four corner tiles were made with different parts of the same stamp. I made about 25 little tiles like this with different textures and glazes. I kept them in my car for a long time and showed them to everyone. I was so excited about mosaics! It was all I could think about. I’m still pretty obsessed but I think I can act more nonchalant about it now.
