I like when I can follow my thought process from beginning to end product – I thought it would be interesting to do a series of borders with a tile in the middle. I remembered a little bird tile that I got recently and decided to use it as the center. As I thought about the borders I decided a circle within the square board would be fun and a little different. I did a quick drawing and was afraid I was going to end up with a bull’s-eye. I decided to go ahead with it anyway and just let it happen. I started with the orange circle and quickly realized that with the spaces between the orange squares it looked more like a flower – bull’s-eye avoided! The jewels on the corners were the finishing touch. I love the bright colors and the cute little bird.
